Transparencies, brightness and lace continue to set trend in our gala runners of 2016.
In the Spring / Summer 2016 catwalks we can appreciate the use of transparencies. Embroideries and gold beadings accompany the long or asymmetrical skirts made of silk, which give a great touch of femininity to the suit. Also the incredible skirt falls do a wonderful job in outlining the figure of women. The material mixture such as lace and silk lead these catwalks, reflecting a bit of that old romanticism as well as the modernisms of gloss. The midi skirts of the 70s, in soft fall fabrics and silky, are part of this beautiful trend.
Although in fashion most of the time, tones are boxed in the seasons, on the runways of Spring / Summer 2016 some designers raised an innovative proposal to show colors like salmon, purple and green accompanied by black. Other designers continued to use classic gala colors, such as pastel colors, nude and gold.
The male gala catwalk for Spring / Summer 2016 show a strong classic trend for the men’s dress. The most seen colors in this season’s designs are military green and gray; although the classic black is still the leader. We can also appreciate the use of overcoats, above the suits in silk wool. The mixture of materials such as leather and raincoat is also an influential trend. The classic man’s gala dress looks more modern in unexpected colors and different materials. These walkways show us classic and elegant pieces, in colors very loyal to winter, highlighting the masculinity of the man in his designs.
